Members of the Nepal Jesuit Society manage St. Xavier’s School, Godavari. Nepal Jesuit Society is a branch of the Society of Jesus, a Catholic Religious Order dedicated to education and social development in many parts of the world. In Nepal, the Society has been engaged itself in the field of education since 1951 and is now reaching out to the least developed regions within the country. Besides its schools, the Society also runs Social Service Centers for the orphans, differently-abled, aged and invalid. The Society also reaches out to many remote villages in the country providing them basic medical facilities through its Mobile Clinic projects.

All its work is directly oriented to realize its main objective: to bring about personal and structural transformation and inclusive development in the country through education, social services and health services.
